The switch on the door lock is working as its turns the light on and off. I wonder if you can use ford ids to change the message from luggage door compartment open to somthing like hostage escaping quote. I have a 2006 ford focus hatchback zx3 and the automatic opener for the hatchbackluggage compartment door wont work from button in car or from the key ring.

I have a 2000 ford focus and the luggage compartment.
I have a focus st2 and just recently a red warning light appeared on the dashthe little round one bottom right i flicked the display menu button luggage compartment open fault came uphas anyone encountered this have any advice as to solving the problem.

Ive done some researching and apparently this is just another example of ford screwing up the focus.

Failure to properly latch the trunk may cause objects to fall out or block the drivers rear view.

So added to the huge list of stuff that goes bad and sucks more of my money down the drain the trunk will not open.
